Presentation
Hello, I am Yann.
I am building Nexus Prima, a civilisational initiative dedicated to studying the knowledge, systems, institutions, technologies and ideas that may help humanity survive, cooperate and build across generations as a multi-planetary species.
I am developing myself through disciplined work, repeated action and honest self-correction. I pursue excellence, disciplined ambition, meaningful achievement, scientific and philosophical understanding, freedom, peace and civilisational impact.
I value both contemplation and action. I aim to meet others with respect, energy and care, and I am committed to the pursuit of truth.
Theories
Two working propositions
Theories under construction.
Position
Progress without destruction.
I reject the glorification of war and violence. Technology should not make it easier for humanity to destroy itself in the name of politics or religion.
Human intelligence and technology should instead protect life, expand freedom and reduce suffering.
Every person deserves equal dignity and respect. I seek a world in which more people have both the opportunity and the resources to develop their abilities and flourish.
A personal conviction
Conscious life is both beautiful and vulnerable.
Poetry, love and aesthetic experience are ways of encountering that beauty. Nexus Prima is, in part, an effort to protect conscious life and expand its future possibilities.
